1966 was a year of significant events. Vietnam war, space exploration, cultural shifts, Hippie’s and my favorite growing up, the Batman tv series debuted! Beach Boys released their groundbreaking album, Pet Sounds which include that all time best song ballet “God only knows”. And we also remember them when they sang “Little GTO!” for NASCAR
Our Mariah is a 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible and a recognized classic muscle car. She is known for its powerful engine, 3 deuce carburetion, and 4 speed options. Its sleek design and powerful platform gave it success and accredited with sparking the muscle car movement we all love still today! It was initially introduced as an option package on the Tempest but became a standalone model in 1966.
So, as the Beach Boys will tell you, “Be the coolest thing around, hear her taching up now, so turn it on, wind it up, blow it up, My Little GTO! GR-RRR!”
