Its popularity started as a simple idea in 1964 to supply an affordable car for who? “A Secretary”! Things quickly changed and the Mustang transformed into a car that could become whatever its owner desired and needed. 1967 was the year many of those changes started. The A-code was now a high horsepower small block with accents related to the GT racing series. Engine, wheels, Body accents, etc. changed the little car to the folklore we recognize today.
